Wages rising faster than inflation, unemployment rate lowest since 1975

In the latest hammer blow to the establishment’s Project Fear, new figures show that wages are rising and unemployment is the lowest it has been for decades.

Wages rose by 2.9% in the three months leading to March, faster than inflation.

Interestingly that comes as the number of EU nationals working in the UK drops by 28,000 compared to the year before.

The unemployment rate to March was 4.2%, the lowest since 1975.

And the percentage of those classed as ‘economically inactive’ has fallen to its lowest rate since records began 45 years ago.

As Sky News describe it: “UK employers hire more workers and wages inch higher”. Great stuff all-round then. RIP Project Fear.
