US unemployment claims hit lowest level since 1969

The number of people filing for benefits in America has reached a 49-year low, to the lowest level since October 1969, as America’s economy continues to thrive under US President Donald Trump.

Bloomberg have reported on the incredible figures, with the number of people claiming benefits falling to 196,000 in the week ending 6th April.

The so-called experts were way out again: Bloomberg’s survey of economists actually forecast that claims would increase to 210,000 over the same period!

A four-week average recorded 207,000 jobless claims, the lowest level since December 1969.

Trump weighed in on Brexit again yesterday, saying: “Too bad that the European Union is being so tough on the United Kingdom and Brexit. The E.U. is likewise a brutal trading partner with the United States, which will change. Sometimes in life you have to let people breathe before it all comes back to bite you!”

The President’s opponents have come up with no real compelling arguments since his election other than a totally debunked conspiracy theory about Russia. Sad!
