UK hits record employment

More positive economic news has been released as it has been revealed the UK has matched its highest employment rate since records began, with the figure now standing at 76.1%.

New figures from the Office for National Statistics show that the good news doesn’t stop there. Average weekly earnings are estimated to have increased by 3.2% and there are also now more women in work than ever before.

President Macron’s France lags behind with an unemployment rate over twice as high as the UK, at a sorry 8.8%, while only 3.8% of Brits are out of work.
