U2 to wave EU flag during shows in 'radical act'

U2 frontman Bono has announced that the band will be waving the European Union flag at shows, starting in Berlin.

Writing for German title Faz, the millionaire rock star said: “We’ve just had one of our more provocative ideas: during the show we’re going to wave a big, bright, blue EU flag.”.

He describes waving the EU flag as a “radical act” and that the “idea of Europe deserves songs written about it, and big bright blue flags to be waved about”.

Before the EU referendum, the U2 frontman said of Brexit: “This is unthinkable stuff. And you should be very nervous in America about it.” What, because they can now do a US-UK trade deal?

Yet again as Euroscepticism spreads throughout the European Union, with Brexit Britain leading the way, rich luvvies seek to lecture the public about what is best.

Some have already laid into Bono for his intervention with one person tweeting: “EU is not Europe it’s ok for millionaires and globalists lecturing the plebs he made his money from”.

And another tweeted that U2’s albums would now be going in the bin.
