‘Thousand’ migrants storm Spanish border

Around 1,000 Africans have attempted to storm the Spanish border with Morocco already this week, and we’re only three days in!

Around 300 breached the border in the early hours of Monday morning, which RT captured on video:

The Ceuta Civil Guard also reported that an attempt was made in the early hours of yesterday morning, with around 1,000 migrants trying to break through the border, leaving three guards wounded.

The Civil Guard Command of Ceuta has reported that the huge group, made up entirely of sub-Saharan African men, have shown extreme violence towards the guards by throwing sticks and stones at them. Some are reported to have attacked guards with makeshift spears and other sharp objects.

As Italy cracks down on crossings from Libya, could Ceuta be the new Sicily?
