In a series of polls conducted for Chatham House that will send shockwaves through Europe, an average of 55% of citizens across 10 different European nations have backed a total end to migration from predominantly Islamic countries.
The figures included 71% of those in Poland, 53% in Germany, 51% in Italy and 47% of Brits.
The figures demonstrate the strengthening of feeling in the West about the security threat posed by Islamic State terrorists who have taken advantage of Europe’s weak borders to commit multiple terrorist atrocities.
Though we would never support banning people based on their religion, it is time the politicians woke up. If they don’t soon get rid of EU open borders, the public are likely to get angrier still.
