UKIP MEP Patrick O’Flynn says his party can put the frighteners up the Tories and hit them hard at the next election if the sell-out on immigration.
He told Westmonster: “We found out in 2015 when we polled exceptionally well, we found out First Past The Post we got smashed on the rocks of that. But, despite that, we can have massive leverage.
“A lot of MPs sitting in marginal seats should be worried. It might not just be Conservatives. On the issue of immigration you might some Labour MPs in marginal constituencies remembering what happened to Ed Balls.
“The immigration issue is absolutely key and we can really put the frighteners up them. The only discipline that will make them honour the referendum is fear of them losing their seats.”
