Britain’s unofficial Brexit Leader Nigel Farage today stood up in the European Parliament and declared that a No Deal Brexit is increasingly likely because of the EU’s hardline approach and refusal to negotiate thus far.
Nigel told those in the chamber that those running the European Union had become household names and there is now “an appreciation in Britain that unelected bureaucrats in Brussels have been talking down to and humiliating the Prime Minister of our nation, and we don’t like it”.
He hit out at the “dreadful backstop mistake” and said that the response from the EU today revealed that even when the Prime Minister gets a majority in Parliament instead of being reasonable, the EU were “not prepared to give an inch”.
This amounted to “dealing with fanatics who are not prepared to be reasonable” despite Theresa May having “made compromise after compromise” and that now means “No Deal is better than the backstop”.

The way forward? “Why don’t we all prepare sensibly for a No Deal scenario,” he concluded, including Article 24 of the WTO’s General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade that allows zero tariffs for an interim period.
The British government must stand firm and prepare for a WTO Brexit.
