Multiple stabbings in Paris, 'Allahu Akbar' attacker shot dead by police

A man has been shot dead by police in Paris after several people were stabbed in the Opera district.

According to French media the attacker shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ and at least 2 people were left seriously injured before the man was shot dead – it turns out he was on a French terror watchlist.

There are now reports that a 29-year-old victim has been killed with a further 8 injured in the attack.

ISIS has reportedly claimed one of its ‘soldiers’ carried out the attack.

It’s thought the attacker was born in 1997 in Russia – he is of Chechen descent and his parents are being questioned by police.
