Majority of Tory members want May gone and will vote Brexit Party, surveys find

Theresa May’s mishandling of Brexit is damaging faith in her to such an extent that the majority of Conservative Party members not only want her gone, but are planning to vote for the Brexit Party at the EU Elections next month.

At least that’s according to two surveys of Tory members conducted by ConservativeHome, who found that a whopping 79% of Conservatives now want Theresa May to resign. Just 219 in a survey of 1,132 were against May announcing her departure.

Astonishingly, more than 60% of Conservative Party members polled are currently planning to vote for Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party at the European Elections next month.

That compares to only 23% who actually plan to vote Tory with just 4% toying with the idea of voting for the anti-Brexit Change UK.

These are quite unbelievable numbers that reflect the huge anger amongst the Conservative grassroots over the fact that the UK still has not left the European Union.

The backlash has been so great that the Brexit Party already have more than 60,000 registered, paid-up supporters.

How much longer can Theresa May cling on for before pro-Brexit Conservatives finally manage to oust her?
