London’s murder rate has overtaken New York for the first time in modern history – 15 people were murdered in February compared to 14 in New York.
And this doesn’t look like a one off – by last night there had been 22 killings compared to 21 in New York.

This is absolutely staggering – think of the amount of guns in New York, a city famous for its gang violence. Now London’s on a par with that? Shocking.
