The horrific wave of violence in London has sadly continued, with a woman in her 30s stabbed to death in Brixton.
Police were called to the scene at around 16:30 on Sunday, with the Met telling the London Evening Standard that: “Officers attended, along with London’s Air Ambulance. A female, believed to be aged in her 30s, was found suffering from stab wounds.
“Despite the efforts of paramedics she was pronounced dead at the scene.”
A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and the incident is now the 58th murder investigation in London in 2018.
This tragic, continuing violence is appalling and requires a more robust response. We need more police on the streets and lengthy prison sentences for anyone caught carrying any weapon.
