Labour MP Fiona Onasanya found guilty

Peterborough MP Fiona Onasanya has been found guilty of perverting the course of justice.

The Labour MP has been found guilty at the Old Bailey at a retrial with a case involving a speeding charge.

The unanimous verdict from the jury is that the Onasanya lied and falisified information over who was driving her car when caught by a speed camera.

By-election in Peterborough? The seat voted 60.9% for Leave.

A Labour Party Spokesman has now said:  “The Labour Party is deeply disappointed in Fiona Onasanya’s behaviour. It falls well below what is expected of politicians. She should now resign.”
