Jeremy Corbyn’s would-be Foreign Secretary, Emily Thornberry, has today urged the government to delay Brexit as Labour continue to try and stop the UK leaving the EU on 29th March 2019.
Thornberry today told Parliament that the “sensible, cautious” thing to do would be for the government to seek a “temporary extension of Article 50” that could allow the UK to “pursue a different path”.

As Conservative MP Johnny Mercer noted: “A delay or failure to deliver on March 29th, would represent a total failure by the political class. Cannot be allowed to happen; simply putting off difficult decisions we get paid by the public to make.”
17.4 million voted Leave, they’ve already waited years, but Labour don’t give a damn.
