Hero veteran Bill Champion who served during WW2 is still selling poppies in Tooting, London.
Bill, who is 97 is one of just under 1,000 veterans from Burma during WW2 still alive and lost 2 brothers during the war.
Champion told ITV News: “War is a horrible thing. It stays with you for the rest of your life, you can never forget what you went through, you can never forget.
“That’s why I like to do my poppying. I like to help those in a small way, who are still suffering today.”
Bill continues to sell poppies to raise money for veterans charities as the centenary of the end of WW1 approaches.

The hero continued: “I hope they will always remember the sacrifices that the young lads made those days so that they can live today in the peace.”
