Sweden’s election is scheduled for this September – and immigration is the most important issue for voters.
Concern over migration has increased by 5 points, making it the top issue, with healthcare and law and order coming second and third.
Interestingly, ‘integration’ comes up as the fourth issue of most concern.
It means that the anti-EU, anti-mass migration Swedish Democrats are likely to do well in the upcoming election in what would mark yet another Eurosceptic victory.
Top issues ahead of Sweden's election in September:
Immigration 20%
Healthcare 19%
Law & Order 12%
Integration 10%
School & childcare 10%
The environment 9%
Sweden's economy 7%
Elderly care 5%
Gender equality 3%
Jobs 3%
National defense 1%https://t.co/Si63rahDLx pic.twitter.com/RhiB5l7Ugi— Carl Ritter (@CarlWRitter) April 19, 2018
Sensing the clear shift in the public mood, Sweden’s ruling Social Democrats have already shifted to focus more on migration and integration, fearing a surge for the Swedish Democrats.

There have been a wave of suspected bombings across the country and gang violence has been on the rise, with Sweden’s PM refusing to rule out deploying the military.
It is a sign of the times that in yet another European country, voters are most concerned about the open door, mass migration status quo. Those promising action to reduce levels of migration and improve social integration are likely to do well.
