Westmonster’s Michael Heaver has hit out at the idea of Britain settling for ‘the Norway option’ as suggested by the Guardian’s Simon Jenkins.
Heaver told Sky’s Adam Boulton that Jenkins wouldn’t have to look much further than Theresa May’s Cabinet. “If you look around that Cabinet table you’ve got Phillip Hammond, the Chancellor and Amber Rudd as Home Secretary, they’re both pushing for this long, drawn out, transition deal.”
“You’ve got your soft Brexiteers at the top table.” he added.

“I think a big factor that’s been completely forgotten by commentators in Westminster is that open borders, mass immigration was the defining issue of the referendum.”
He added: “There will be a gigantic backlash if politicians do not end open borders and go with this Norwegian option.”
