Prime Minister Theresa May has been accused of a “cop out” over mass migration with EU open borders set to continue for years to come.
Alp Mehmet from MigrationWatch has wrote for The Sun and spells it out: “Immigration was not just an important reason for the Brexit vote; it was, according to the polls, THE single most important issue of voter concern on the eve of referendum day in June 2016.
“While the voice of voters may have been heard in the referendum result, it is also all too clear that it has since been largely ignored.”
He goes on to say that: “Last Tuesday’s agreement on the transition arrangements are a complete cop out on immigration.”
Not only that but the government have just opened the doors to Croatia as well.
As Jacob Rees-Mogg will set out this week, cutting migration will help British workers. There is a distinct lack of action on this from the government – and voters won’t forget.
