Fishing for Leave, the pro-Brexit group, has slammed the government’s proposed Brexit transition ‘deal’ as an “abject betrayal” of British fishermen.
Speaking to Nigel Farage on his LBC show, the group’s founder, Aaron Brown said: “It’s an absolute abject betrayal of Britain’s fishing industry and coastal communities.”
“We were sold out on the way in and now we’re going to be sold out on the way out.”
“All they had to do was say no!”

“All they had to do was say no and as they acknowledged themselves, we would become an independent coastal state.
“We’d have left the Common Fisheries policy, have equal access to a common resource and we’d have reverted to being like Norway and Iceland.
“We’d have worked with our neighbours but we’d have control over our waters for our benefit to rejuvenate our communities.”
Westmonster recently sat down with Aaron, who told us that being trapped in a transitional deal with the EU would eradicate what’s left of the UK fishing industry.

Westmonster is glad to see these fishermen not letting politicians get away with such a sellout on an industry that was promised control of its waters back. They deserve better.
