In a dramatic night, the party secured more than 30% of the votes and 28 seats in the EU Parliament so far.
Both the Tories and Labour had a terrible evening. In the North East of England the Brexit Party won 2 of 3 seats whilst in Wales they won 2 of 4.
The Liberal Democrats meanwhile came second nationally with 15 seats, whilst Labour got only 10 seats and the Greens won 7.
The Conservatives were nearly wiped out, down to just 3 MEPs and less than 10% of the vote.
Farage responded to the results by tweeting: “Never before in British politics has a party just 6 weeks old won a national election.
“If Britain does not leave the EU on October 31st, these results will be repeated at a General Election. History has been made. This is just the beginning.”
