A major political party in Denmark have already hinted that they will look to follow the path of Brexit Britain leaving the European Union.
The Danish People’s Party is the second largest party in the country and Leader Kristian Thulesen Dahl has said: “We should not leave the EU right now. We do not propose to exit the EU without there being an alternative.
“When the British have made an agreement with the EU, there is such an alternative.”
He also said that: “There are plenty of opportunities for Denmark to run more things on its own.”
This is truly the prospect that frightens Brussels: that where the UK leads, others will also want to go.
That’s why the British government must have the bottle to walk away rather than be at the mercy of the EU’s protectionist mentality.
