Brussels backing down?

The EU’s Chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has softened the tone in Brussels today, insisting that the European Union does intend to do a deal with Brexit Britain.

Barnier confirmed that he hopes for a deal with the UK and that he wants to get cracking with negotiations straight after the General Election.

He has also insisted that no ‘Brexit bill’ has yet been set.

Following Nigel Farage’s warning that Britain could walk away with no deal by the end of this year if Brussels didn’t get real, has the penny finally dropped in the corridors of the EU or is this merely more posturing?
