The number of tourists coming to Britain is the highest ever, according to new data released by the ONS.
7.6 million visitors came to the country in the last year, up 4% on the previous year, making it the 6th consecutive year we’ve seen a growth in visitors.
Westmonster has previously reported how tourism increased following the Brexit referendum, up by 13% between October 2016 and January 2017.
The drop in sterling has meant it is more affordable than ever to visit the land of tea and Shakespeare, and it’s good to see that despite remoaners plaguing the airwaves telling the world how horrible and bigoted we are, even more people are coming to see what we’re all about.
So much for Brexit turning us into an insular island! We’re more open to the world than ever before!
