BBC advertise another role only open to 'non-white' applicants

An increasingly disturbing trend in the media world has seen the BBC advertise another role that is only open to applicants of certain ethnicities.

BBC’s Newsbeat have advertised an opening for a Trainee Multi-Media journalist – but its only open to people from a “black, Asian or non-white ethnic minority background”.

As made clear on the ‘Creative Access’ website: “This traineeship is only open to candidates from a black, Asian or non-white ethnic minority background.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen such an advert. ITV and the New Statesman have also advertised for roles not open to people with white skin, as have the BBC.

It is disgusting in modern day Britain to see such blatant racism, with people excluded from opportunities because of the colour of their skin. Allowing people who may come from a privileged background to apply for roles but freezing out other disadvantaged youngsters back of their ethnicity is not progress, it is bloody ridiculous.
