Another young man stabbed to death in London, ‘robbery gone wrong’

A young man was stabbed to death in a suspected robbery gone wrong just yards from a school in the latest deadly knife crime incident to hit the capital.

The 25-year-old was stabbed in East Acton and managed to stagger through an estate but collapsed and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

Including New Year, this is understood to be the 7th fatal stabbing in the capital.

This astonishing surge in knife crime has caused Sadiq Khan to u-turn on his stop and search policy –  he previously said he wanted to reduce it but now, because of the sheer volume of people carrying knives, he has called for a ‘significant increase’.

About time, too. Too many people are dying as a result of knife crime in the capital and without stop and search as well as increases to the police budget and more bobbies on the beat, this 25-year-old in East Acton risks becoming just another statistic.
