A new poll has shown that 3 in 5 people want the government to take a hardline stance on illegal immigration.
Ipsos Mori asked people: Do you support or oppose an immigration policy which is designed to make it as difficult as possible for people who do not have the right to be in the UK to stay here?
And the response was 60% support making it as difficult as possible for people to stay in the UK illegally, 22% didn’t know and only 18% opposed a hostile environment.

If your country takes a soft approach to illegal immigration, then you end up with more illegal immigration. Simple. People shouldn’t be ashamed to want strong borders and a rigorous immigration policy.
