Number of terror arrests surges

New figures out from the Home Office have shown that the number of terror arrests has surged by almost 70%.

The year to June saw 379 arrests, compared to 226 in the same period the year before.

This big surge in the numbers being held over terrorism-related offences once again exposes just how big the danger Britain now faces is.

Radical Islamic terrorism represents a massively increasing threat that the government must deal with by properly funding both the police and intelligence agencies.
