Ministry for Crime Fighting

Superheroes fight for fathers' rights...

batmanep1.jpgComic book fans are anxious to discover if reports that Spiderman and Batman have joined forces by climbing on to the roof of home secretary Harriet Harman to fight for fathers' rights are true. If correct, it will be the second time this year that the two superheroes have made their ways up to Miss Harman's roof in order to get their message across. Our field reporter, Miss Lois Lane, has confirmed that there are two figures matching the descriptions of the two crime fighters at the scene.

According to Spiderman, the two are on a hiatus from crime-fighting so that they can concentrate on dealing with something that they consider to be an even bigger threat to our society - the misguided feminist agenda of Harriet Harman's government policies, particularly those regarding equality in the work place.

"What about dads? We haven't got equality. The government is ignoring us and has a feminist agenda. We want Harriet Harman to come back here and engage in a debate with us and if not then Gordon Brown should come. I am trained in survival, so I don't care how long we are up here", said Spiderman.

Batman added: "We have been up here since 6am and we are in for the long haul. We don't want to cause trouble, we just want to get our message across."

Unfortunately for the two superheroes it appears that their mission may be an unsuccessful one. Prime Minister Gordon Brown is currently in Japan pretending to deal with global issues such as greenhouse emissions and Harriet Harman has her very own superpower - something called 'apathy'.

Westmonster spoke to the Police Commissioner who told us that he's worried about the effect that such a crime fighting hiatus could have on national crime figures.

The case continues...
