Facebook to improve education system...
Conducted by Childnet, an organisation that promotes Internet safety, the report officially stated that, "young people regard social networking services as just another part of their social and often school-related activities", and suggested that teachers make use of the popularity of such sites to develop the ability of children to communicate and improve their technological skills.
Lol.
Though most schools currently block access to sites such as Facebook, the report asks educators to consider using the sites as part of their lesson plans and so forth in order to get with the times. Teachers, on the other hand, express concern that the sites can be used for bullying and for the spread of malicious rumours or display of compromising photographs.
When you think about it though, bullying will always exist in schools. It's nature's way of toughening up the weak stems. So why don't teachers just embrace the technology that's available to them for the better? It probably won't be going away...
Our guess is that, seeing as most teachers are only a few years older than their students are these days, the majority have debauched pictures of themselves floating around the internet which they don't want their students to see.
Rofl.
