Blast from the past
Propaganda Nostalgia - day three
We're midway through our week-long look back at intruiging Party Political Broadcasts of yore, and it seems that we've developed a mild dose of celebrity fixation. Yesterday we saw top comedians Fry And Laurie grandstanding on behalf of the Labour party in 1993, and today we're privy to a similar comic figurehead exposing his political wares. John Cleese takes us through the reasons we should vote for the SDP/Liberal Alliance. In 1987. Which no-one did. Obviously - it's the SDP/Liberal Alliance, for Christ's sake.
