Political lists are hip for sure...
Though the two people holding prime position on the two lists is hardly a surprise - Gordon Brown on the Left and David Cameron on the Right - some of the other political players that have managed to get their names scribed down - and the positions in which they are in - will most likely be the subject of contention...
Despite the list for influential new Right thinkers holding Margaret Thatcher at number 4, there doesn't seem to be any room for snot-nosed Tony Blair on the Left's list, suggesting perhaps that the Conservatives have changed less over the years than the Labour Party. Other surprises on the Political Wire include Alistair Darling being placed quite far down the scale at 31, and Brown rebel leader Frank Field coming in at 36.
As is noted on the Political Wire page, the list is likely to change depending on how people fall in and out of love with Gordon Brown. Readers are also invited to give their own opinions of the list or ideas about how to change it.
Westmonster had plans to get groovy by ranking MPs in order of their nose sizes. Unfortunately we were unable to get them out of the troughs long enough to acquire accurate statistics for comparison.
The Telegraph list can be viewed here.
And the Political Wire one is here.
