Gordon Brown votes in elections..

BallotBox.jpgAll reports show that Gordon Brown rose bright and early this morning in order to cast his votes for the both the local and mayoral elections. We're assuming that he ticked the boxes marked 'Labour', but there's always a chance that he confused himself again and scribbled his X next to the 'Conservatives' boxes.

Westmonster has been to vote too: we managed to peel ourselves away from our blogging chairs, put on our Sunday clothes, and meander down the street to some backstreet polling booth (after fiddling with Google Maps for a few hours in order to find it). As usual, we were ostensibly the only people voting in our vicinity, but maybe that's because everybody else is scared of the austere old women that they always seem to have manning the ships in those places. Where do these people go when their isn't a bureaucratic emergency such as an election?

Results for the Mayoral Election are expected late tomorrow afternoon. Most poll results show that Boris Johnson is still looking to win it, effectively making him the most powerful Conservative in the country. Results for the local elections are expected to start arriving by around midnight. The poll results place the Conservatives ahead in these elections too.

If you haven't voted yet, then it's obviously not too late. Polling stations are open until 10pm and you might even be able to get your mitts on some free coffee..
