Ministry for Old Age

Gordon Brown shocks psychologists...

Det_Sjunde_Inseglet_Death.jpgGordon Brown has shocked pyschologists by doing something that actually makes sense for a change:

In a proposal announced yesterday he stated that he aims to introduce a system that prevents the elderly from having to sell their homes in order to cover the cost of living.

As a venerable pyschologist from IQTSN (Imaginary Quotations To Spice-UP News-stories) put it: "the proposal displays Mr. Brown's slow but sure development from tyro to talent. It might have taken a while but it seems like the dumb days are over and we are entering a new dawn of lucidity, understanding and competence."

Well, erm, almost...

Although the plans were announced they weren't actually detailed enough to be given insight into exactly what Brown plans to do. Our guess is that this is because he still hasn't figured it out properly.

Many commentators suspect that the plans are to involve compulsory payments that individuals will have to make during their working lives - forced providence being the panacea for all of our elderly ills.

As the UK population continues to increase, along with life-expectancy, it is expected that there will be more old than young people in the future. It's good to know that plans are being made to protect us in our most vulnerable years. But will the young be keen on giving up their beer money for pensions??

The case continues..

Once unpicked, another scheme to take money from the poor to give to the rich, just like 10p Tax!
