All hail the mighty Bojo: election results in

borisonjohnson.jpgWell Boys and Girls, it's official: London town is not the town it was just yesterday. News just in from Union Futures has shown that the virtues of Capitalism have once again vanquished the evils of Communism as Boris Johnson has officially managed to snatch the role of London Mayor from Ken Livingstone once and for all.

Bojo managed to beat Livingstone by a lead of 43% against 37%. Liberal Democrat Brian Paddick managed to slide his big policeman's feet in the door with an impressive 10%. On second preference votes Johnson beat Livingstone at 53% to 47%.

The news is unsurprising to many people, especially considering that the majority of forecasts in the build-up to the election placed Bojo in pole position. It may be a bit of a shock to the odd Labour supporter that has been clinging on to the misguided belief that not everything that happened today would happen against them. If you're one of them and you're reading this we would like to point you in the direction of The Samaritans:

ROI Callers: 1850 60 90 90

Like the sycophants that we are, Westmonster would like to Congratulate Mr. Johnson on his victory and suggest to him that he uses his wage increase to get a decent haircut...

Update: 12.09. The BBC has just confirmed the results.

Update: 12:43. UK Polling Report has added some figures regarding the issue.
