Behind the Terrace curtain

Boring in an interesting way

yawning.jpgSo yesterday was a surprise to us. We thought an esoteric post about blog stats would bore the pants off everyone, but in fact it turned out to be one of our most popular posts ever*. Go figure.

So, having demonstrated that the two grandfathers of UK blogging may have been rather overstating their total audience, we're beginning to ask ourselves the question: just how big is the UK political blogosphere? We got some intriguing emails yesterday saying that the Tories, in particular, are hugely disappointed by the response they've got to their online efforts. And given that those efforts are about a gazillion times more impressive than anything Labour's done (and no, we're not including Number 10's efforts in that statement), we imagine that the comrades are making even less of a splash online.

So, how shallow a pond is the British political blogosphere? And how disappointed are the main parties by their efforts so far? Answers on a postcard or, preferably, to editor@westmonster.com.
