Bill Clinton unsurprisingly dislikes Obama

'Stand by your man,' Tammy Wynette once sang, not realising that many of her listeners may have to do exactly that. And - following Hillary's forgiveness towards those cheeky little cigar-meets-intern antics a decade back - Bill Clinton clearly owes his wife a favour or two.

Consider it returned. Billy-boy has been a pivotal figure on Hillary's campaign trail ... and, indeed, some of his antics have proven more memorable than anything his wife has had to say. Now, however, he's taking it to the next level. Barack Obama: welcome to the firing line.

To be fair, it's actually something of a completely justified angry sideswipe. Speaking to a crowd of Lock Haven college students days before the Pennsylvania Primary, the New Yorker's Ryan Lizza has recounted how Bill was getting a little weary of Obama's 'message':

“Hillary’s opponent, in his entire campaign, every two or three weeks has said for months and months and months, beginning in Nevada, that really there wasn’t much difference in how America did when I was President and how America’s done under President Bush. Now, if you believe that, you should probably vote for him, but you get a very bad grade in history.”

With Obama having criticised Mr C in three seperate speeches, one can sense the animosity between the two reaching fever pitch. It's only a matter of time, then, before Bill and Barack encounter each other in some barroom bust-up, a nearby weeping Hillary imploring her hubby to 'leave it, he's not worth it!'

Still - if anything would make us watch more CNN ...
