Gilligan gets his story unstraight
Dave Hill has a pretty devastating document from the GLA Monitoring Service, which completely contradicts Andrew Gilligan's repeated claim that he's never accused Lee Jasper of being a criminal:
2. The Evening Standard on 21 February [in an article by Andrew Gilligan] alleges that "Mr Jasper’s alleged offences are not criminal, They are offences of misconduct in public office.' This, however, is a clear error in law by the Evening Standard. 'Misconduct in public office’ is a criminal offence under the common law and therefore this is clearly a criminal allegation against Mr Jasper.
Given the Standard's been so incredibly careful to avoid the "c" word in relation to Jasper, they must be concerned about him taking his own legal measures. We shall see.

The criminal charge of "misconduct in public office" is brought in very specific circumstances usually involving police officers leaking information to the press.
Lee Jasper is not a police officer, thank God, though no doubt if Ken is re-elected he will be appointed the next Met commissioner.
