Meedja on the Insanity Pills
Sky News - Fair and Balanced
We've been watching Jon Craig become steadily more unhinged on the Boulton and Co. website for a few days now. While Nick Robinson fends off angry accusations of campaigning-style journalism on the national dime, Craig's latest pushes the envelope of comment for a broadcast journalist quite a long way:
What a useless, toothless waste of space Sir Christopher Kelly, the top sleaze watchdog appointed by Gordon Brown, is.
He says he won't conduct an independent probe of MPs' expenses for fear of duplicating a review headed by Commons Speaker Michael Martin.
Sir Christopher, who chairs the Committee on Standards in Public Life, has been urged to carry out his own investigation.
But he says that would be "not particularly useful". Instead, he proposes to set out a "statement of principles".
Well, big deal.
So, when can we expect Mr Craig to run for office? We're not saying he's wrong, mind you. Just that this is rather a strong statement for a broadcast journo to be making. But then, he does have form as a campaigning righter of wrongs.

Craig vs Hain? No contest. Hain a loser every time. Craig is a charming man who does a good job and does what a journalist should do i.e. tell it like it is
