The Funding Scrolls
Nice timing, John
We've said it before, we'll say it again: this government doesn't know how to handle news releases and timing. Compared to the last lot, their instincts are all over the place. Take this morning's announcement by John Hutton of new investment in "scambuster" teams across Britain:
John Hutton the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform today announced new government action to stamp out scams.
The Government is investing approximately £7.5 million in new "Scambuster" teams throughout Great Britain. The specialist Trading Standards teams will work with the Police across local authority boundaries to tackle dodgy door-step salespeople, counterfeiters, prize draw scams, cowboy builders and many other scams.
And, presumably, MPs fiddling their expenses. We mean to say, how easy can they make it for the likes of Guido?
