Is abortion set for a comeback?
Tim Montgomerie, the editor and eminence grise of ConservativeHome, has stuck his head well and truly above the abortion debate parapet by posting two anti-abortion videos on ConservativeHome.
The apparently rather expensive productions are the work of a new website, Passion For Life, which is spectacularly coy (rather appropriately) abouts its backers, corporate officers, even its address (there is an email address - thanks guys). All we can garner from the site is that it's the copyright of the All-Party Parliamentary Pro-Life Group, which works out of Labour MP Jim Dobbin's office in Westminster. The officers of the group are: Jim Dobbin, Ann Winterton, Lord Stallard, Ann Widdecombe, Countess Swinton, Joe Benton, Kerry Pollard, Rev Martin Smyth and Lord Alton of Liverpool. So that would be man, woman, man, virgin, woman, man, man, man and man. Very representative, that.
With David Cameron putting his size 9s into the abortion debate, are we about to see it back on the political agenda? All we can say is: anything that puts Nadine Dorries in the spotlight has got to be good for political bloggers, right?

I do not like abortion. I think its terrible, but i will not criticise a woman for having one. THe only honest stance for any person willing to counternance abortion is to see a reduction in the limit.
20 weeks seems right but if we end up with 22.
