Is Ed Davey telling a bit of a porkie pie in his note on the Indy's OpenHouse blog?

Yesterday, much to my surprise, I found myself being dismissed from the Chamber of the Commons by the Deputy Speaker. This sort of thing doesn’t happen to Liberal Democrats, and I don’t have a rebellious reputation, so what the fuss about?

"Much to my surprise", eh? So the choreographed exit of LibDems was by no means pre-planned, and just happened, right? It wasn't the equivalent of a stage-managed Simon Cowell Number One, but was instead some authentic free-form jazz?

Next, they'll be telling us that the LibDem call for a referendum isn't intended to paper over their own internal cracks.
