Clinton's worry: No 'White Bitch Month'?

Westmonster just couldn't let this one go. In Maureen Dowd's otherwise very thoughtful New York Times piece that seeks to explain why Hillary Clinton — as wife of Bill — is not a fair test case for evaluating whether or not America is ready for a woman president, she drops in this gem, from American comedian/magician Penn Jillette (one half of Penn & Teller):

"In a webcast, prestidigitator Penn Jillette talks about a joke he has begun telling in his show. He thinks the thunderous reaction it gets from audiences shows that Hillary no longer has a shot.

The joke goes: “Obama is just creaming Hillary. You know, all these primaries, you know. And Hillary says it’s not fair, because they’re being held in February, and February is Black History Month. And unfortunately for Hillary, there’s no White Bitch Month.”

Snap! No you di'nt!

Westmonster might normally think this kind of jokery would augur poorly for Clinton, but wasn't it just a month ago that women rushed to save her historic candidacy in New Hampshire? At this point, nobody could blame her for going back to the well one more time with the Feminist Flagbearer motif, could they?
