Will Huhne put his £2.4m where his mouth is?

There are some people who (Westmonster strongly suspects) don't actually listen to what their mouths are saying, but sort of let them flap up and down on their own. Such a person is Chris Huhne who seems to have gotten so preoccupied with seeing his face on the telly that's he's failed to think through the implications of his actions (upon which Angus MacNeil has already commented).

Today he's talking to the Durham police about a suspected planning deal apparently linked to the "tainted money" which has been donated to the Labour Party. Right. So, what would Huhne do about the Michael Brown donation of £2.4m which is - presumably - similarly tainted? Wouldn't it be hypocritical to hang onto it if he becomes leader when he's spent most of his campaign grandstanding on how it's important for everything to be, like, totally above board party funding-wise?

Elect Chris Huhne: get a leader who's honour-bound to bankrupt the Liberal Democrats. Smooth work, Chris.
