While You Were Sleeping
Unhappy cops, detention flops
The sound coming from our brave police force? It's an unhappy one. Their "trust, morale and goodwill" are all going downhill. The strike ballot's happening today. Labour ministers think Jacqui Smith's a right meanie. There's also the possibility that local council leaders could gain the power to sack police commanders. A very dim possibility, but not a good day for it, guys!
Ooh, also, the 42 thing? Er… not so much.
More missing discs. This time in Northern Ireland, and involving motorists. Time to place your bets on where and who will be next week's victims!
Broon's being dragged off to Lisbon for some reason or t'other, and is feeling a little camera-shy, so is only showing up for the post-signing-ceremony-lunch. To be fair, that's where the fun will start, so Westmonster can sympathise. We're always ducking out of the "family photo" too.
More fun and games with David "Dodgy Donations" Abrahams, involving a large cheque, and a small girl who came back from the dead. Heartwarming. Ish.
Other stuff:
- Single mothers need to work more, say the Tories. What do they even do all day anyway? (Take that as you will)
- Our fine country turns its back on its Iraqi interpreters.
- Ahmadinejad is back to the blogging! All is well in the world.
