The police no-con Smith

jacqui smith 131107 2.jpgSo the Police Federation had a ballot to change the law. When they got together, talk naturally turned to Jacqui Smith and her penny-pinching ways. As the federation chairman put it:

She should not underestimate the sense of betrayal and the sense of disgust that our colleagues have.

This isn't looking too good, is it?

45 backbenchers have already gone over to the other side. Cleggers also disapproves: "There is no point having an arbitration process if the Government simply ignores it." True that.

On the other hand, prison inmates who are going to be locked in their cells for longer every Friday afternoon - to save cash - have said little. They probably don't mind the cutbacks.
