The Curse of Glasgow Cathcart
News reaches us via the Spectator CoffeeHouse and Liberal Democrat Voice that the media may have an opportunity to scalp a politician over the "dodgy donations" fiasco afterall.
Charlie Gordon MSP is in further trouble over the now notorious Paul Green donation for £1.67p: the Daily Record reports that Green has hit back with an allegation that Gordon assured him that all was kosher ... in spite of Scottish Labour's rapidly souring sugar daddy not being on the electoral roll.
Some (ie, Westmonster) think that the speculation that he will resign his seat - he's said he'll make an announcement on his future this week - is evidence of the Curse of Glasgow Cathcart striking again.
The previous incumbent of the seat was Mike Watson who (either whilst tired and emotional or under the influence of THE CURSE) inexplicably set fire to the curtains at an Edinburgh hotel after a political awards shin-dig. He was sentenced to sixteen months in prison. Okay, so he wasn't MSP for the seat at the time, but Tutankhamen took a couple of months to get Lord Carnarvon, right?
Honestly people, it's like something out of the works of Edgar Allen Poe.

Are you sure it was as much a £1.67. Where is the scandal in all this? Who got a 'bung'? Can't be as huge a scandal as Francis Maude says cos no ones named a football manger
