Boris' timely intervention

ConservativeHome is reporting that Boris Johnson has initiated an early day motion against the BNP in London. We can't find any reference to it anywhere else, but according to the ConservativeHome story it contains the following:

We call upon all politicians from all parties to denounce the BNP in London and ask for all politicians to work together to combat anyone who seeks to play the race card in London politics. We call upon the Government to use its powers to combat this very real threat.”

Now, if this came out today, is the timing coincidence? Surely it couldn't be related to stories in yesterday's papers about some of the language Boris has been using, accusations which he refutes on his own London mayoral campaign site?
