A slice of Northern Rock

So there's this secret plan (not so secret anymore, Guardian!) to give a bit of Northern Rock to each of the high street banks.

Some interesting points arise from this article:

• Fish-eye lenses make for weird photos
• Surely the Gord can break his own fiscal rules? It's only a small matter of huge public debt
• Northern Rock has received £25 billion from taxpayers' money since September
• Yet they can still manage to afford a team from Goldman Sachs
• High street banks are still on track to make record profits

There's sure to be yet another article/plan/manouevre in the next 5 minutes or so, just keep watching this space...
