The Gord gets tough on climate change

As reported by the Independent, Brown hopes that his announcement on how he plans to combat climate change will put him back in control of the agenda in the wake of (more) bad news from YouGov.

Last week's attempt to make a land-grab from Cameron's crew was undermined somewhat by a kamikaze effort by Lord West who blithely wandered off-message into policy areas where angels fear to tread: namely, an increase on 28 day detention.

Amongst the inevitable reviews announced today (and the sound's bad on our TV so do correct us if we're wrong) was a commitment to end the blight of plastic bags. Didn't Bojo have a few thoughts on this one last week?
