SNP: what? We have to, like, GOVERN?

alex salmond 151107.jpgThe SNP yesterday celebrated their first budget by reneging on most of the promises that put them in the position of power which entitles them to make it.

The jibbing of the students over the non-wipeout of their debt was a particularly classy move ("uhhh, it might be a bit pricey, you know. Mind if we, like, forget we mentioned it?"), and one that doubtless will play well with our young friends north of the border.

Don't worry though, next time Alex Salmond appears on Question Time he'll have had time to work out how the fact he clearly has trouble with basic mathematics is actually the Gord's fault.

Translating populist grandstanding to costed policies that work can be a bitch, eh?
